This is a blog tour about how authors discover their writing process.

My wonderfully talented blogging friend David Lee Summers posted his post last week and you can see his incredible blog herehttp://dlsummers.wordpress.com/2014/03/17/my-writing-process-blog-tour/

Now onto My Writing Process:

4 Seditious Book Cover 1What am I working on?

I am in the final edits of Seditious, the 4th novel in The Light-Bearer Series. I have Ransom the 5th novel finished and doing preliminary edits. However, I am in the process of finishing Conundrum the 6th novel.

In Seditious, Tabbruis is tested with his dark past coming to haunt him called . . .  Bathsheba!  She is serious trouble. However, the most heinous threat comes from the Evil Lord Cromwell, a very powerful Blood-Hunter.

The team at the Castle Charmeine has its hands full in Ransom and it does not disappoint. As a matter of fact, I believe the series just keeps getting better and better. More Blood-Hunters, Light-Bearers, Angels, Demons, Witches and Warlocks to come.

How does my work differ from others of its genre?

Book loversMy writing is different because I never mentioned in any of The Light-Bearer Series that the Blood-Hunters are Vampires. I wanted my own definition of a vampire. So, I didn’t follow the lore that Bram Stoker, my very favorite Author, wrote Dracula.  My work is spiritual but The Light-Bearer Series is certainly is not a religious series per se. How can you mention Angels and Heaven, and not mention God? That would be very difficult.

Also, I concentrate on making my work a “believable-fantasy.” I mean, The Light-Bearer Series is set with the contemporary themes of our time. Yes, my characters do not exist, but I wanted to make the reader believe that they could be, just a little. I have a friend who is always telling me that my writing is “living ability,” and I always wondered what that meant. However, one day I was at a book signing and a fan told me that she read the books and thought I had been in Iraq or had a relative in the Army in Iraq.  I didn’t, but I did a lot of research.

ALL the history in the novels are true, and I have gone into great research to correctly portray the long 8000 year history of Tabbruis and his fellow Blood-Hunters and Light-Bearers.

Why do I write what I do?

11-5-2013-9-31-32-amI LOVE PARANORMAL and I LOVE ROMANCE!  It’s that simple . . .  Why would anyone write what they aren’t interested in?

I am an avid reader in my genre. I also am an avid reader of Independent Authors too. I love the unknown that you get with a Paranormal Genre. I am getting my MBA in August, 2014 and I use my writing as an outlet for all the wonderful scenes going on in my head.

Tabbruis is such a dark, luscious character to me. His head is always centered on one thing and one thing only . . . Charmeine!  She is his light in his dark world. Tabbruis is a hunk-a-hunk-a burning love, but he doesn’t have any purpose without Charmeine and her love. Saving the world is just a side-effect of being with Charmeine. He would be happy if the world went away and it was just them, all alone. He loves her with a determination and strength that is deep in his sole. Charmeine is his life and to him, nothing matters but the woman in his arms . . . Charmeine.

Yes, Charmeine loves Tabbruis right back; however, her love is a “special kind of love” she wants to accept everyone. She wants everyone to be supported and loved. She is a wonderful role model for us all. Her tolerance and acceptance of everyone, no matter what or who they are is something lacking in this world. Unless that person is a scumbag, like the dastardly, venomous Pascal or Bathsheba.

Why do I write? It’s clear, I write of things that make me excited, scared, romantic, and most of all happy!

How does your writing process work?

thursday14I spend no preparation time because I see the scenes in my head and write as I view them. I know, I know . . . a lot of writers would think I was crazy, but believe me, I can’t write off an outline. I have to let the story flow and evolve it the way.

I know in my heart that true fans of Paranormal reading will never fade away. They are the people who like to escape in their minds to a world that is colored and framed by the author. The people who want to read are reading and the others can do as they wish.

If one person likes “The Light-Bearer Series,” and that person to tells another how they enjoyed “The Light-Bearer Series,” one person to recommend “The Light-Bearer Series,” and the news will grow exponentially.

I try keep my head and use my author friends for support and guidance. They are my lifeline.

I love my fellow BLOGGERS and AUTHORS!

Thanks for stopping by. If you have a question about my process, feel free to ask down in the comments!
